Linux Advocacy

Here is a quick thought on Linux Advocacy I had while mulling over some of the images available on the Internet that have to do with the TV show "Lost" and involved my use of The Gimp to check them out. I was also thinking of the upcoming Defcon and the CTF contest. What if the Linux community put together a contest in solving puzzles by the use of FOSS. It could have several targeted markets including areas of interest other than computing itself. I figure that for FOSS to make a bigger impact on the world we need to reach areas of the population other than geeks. Having some sort of event that draws in computer users of all backgrounds may help accomplish this. I'll work more on this topic later, but this will hopefully get this section started.
